Generate A Story ("we," "us," "our") provides personalized, AI-generated story videos and eBooks, with printed hardback books coming soon, created based on details you provide about a child or loved one, available at generateastory.ai (the "Service").
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. If your order involves a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or have their parent/guardian's permission to create content about them.
You provide details about the story you'd like (a child's name, age, theme, and optionally a photo). You pay first, and we then create your story using AI tools and deliver it to you. Each order includes up to 2 edits.
If you upload a photo, it is used only as an illustration reference and is scheduled for deletion from this service 7 days after upload. The photo is sent to our image provider only to create the illustrations, under that provider's own terms. Cleanup runs daily while the service is active and catches up on restart; removal may be delayed while the service is asleep or if deletion fails. Shared files are kept while another order still needs them. The new automatic retention rules apply only to new orders after this policy takes effect. See our Privacy Policy.
For new paid, approved customer orders, the finished story and generated media are available to download for 30 days after the order is ready for you, then deleted from this service. We attempt one reminder around day 21; it may be delayed or missed while the service is asleep or if email delivery fails. Save your downloads before expiry. Unpaid previews, moderation holds and test or sandbox orders are excluded from automatic 30-day deletion.
You can use your private “Delete my story and photos now” link at any time, with confirmation, to remove your story and uploads from this service. This is permanent for your downloads and does not automatically issue a refund. We keep only a minimal accounting record for refunds and support. Files another order still needs remain for that order. Provider-held copies and infrastructure backups are managed separately.
Payments are processed by Creem, acting as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Creem handles payment collection and applicable sales tax/VAT — see their own terms at creem.io for how payments are handled.
See our Refund Policy for full details. In short: because your story is created for you after payment, purchases are generally final, but we review every request case by case and will make it right if something is genuinely wrong with what you received.
Once delivered, the personalized video, eBook, or book is yours to keep and use personally (e.g. share with family, print, watch at home). Download and save digital products within the 30-day window; we do not keep a permanent downloadable copy. Please don't resell or redistribute it commercially without asking us first.
You must not use the service to create or request content that is sexual, explicit, sexually suggestive (NSFW), violent, hateful, harmful or otherwise unsuitable for children. Stories must be suitable for children. If you upload a photo, it must be of your own child or of a child you have permission to use; you must not upload photos of anyone else. We may refuse, hold, edit or remove any request or story, and suspend access, if this section is breached. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
